Chris Christie is down-to-earth about her weight loss struggle

in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Chris Christie revealed that when he was governor of New Jersey, people used to send him gifts, just like celebrities receiving fan mail. “Do you know what my eight year old’s biggest gift category was?” Christie asked. The politician then revealed that his most-received gifts were books about weight. Most of those weight loss materials were from people he had never met. “I’m talking about a few hundred books, pamphlets — stuff sent to me as ‘gifts’ about my weight,” the Garden State politician shared.

Christie’s presence blinded people to his political agenda. He said, “I can be talking about the Iran nuclear deal and I’ll get a response from someone on email or Twitter or Facebook or wherever saying, ‘YOU FAT SOB YOU blah, blah, blah’.” The anguish came not only from ordinary citizens who wanted to attack Christie, but also from fellow politicians who wanted to discredit his positions and his record.
