During a recent livestream on YouTube, Internet star Rachel “Valkyrae” shared her thoughts about turning 30. She talked about being part of a generation that grew up with video games, saying that people in her age group were “immature”.
After recounting how he and his friends became addicted to playing Pixelmon, a modified version of Minecraft, the streamer joked about people his age having a college degree, “15 kids,” getting married, and getting divorced.
The audience then asked whether Valkyra planned to marry and have children. In response, he said that he did not know:

According to the streamer, by this age people “usually have seven” children:
“’30 ain’t old.’ OK, first of all, I want to tell you that people this age usually have seven kids. OK? I’m in a generation. Like, my generation… the generational age is when gaming started . And so, everyone my age grew up with gaming. And so, it’s like, we’re all really immature in a way.”
The 100 Thieves co-owner wondered if his interest in Pokémon was unusual for someone his age:
“You know, how weird is it to like Pokémon at this age? I mean, I grew up with it. So it’s like, ‘Should I, like, go back to, like, the old days when people Got old?” You know what I mean?”
Valkyrae then mentioned being addicted to a modified version of Minecraft, and said she didn’t think her life would “turn out like this”:
“Like, I was thinking about it yesterday. I was like, ‘How am I? I’m playing Minecraft Pixelmon.’ I’m like, ‘I’m so addicted to it. All my friends are doing it too.’ And we’re all about the same age as people who usually have college degrees with 15 kids. Getting married. Getting divorced. Getting married, getting divorced again, and having kids. It’s like, Whoa! I didn’t think life was going to turn out like this.”
When fans asked about Valkyra’s wedding plans, she said:
“‘Are you getting married?’ Um… I don’t know. (Streamer starts laughing) I don’t know! I… I don’t know. I don’t know if I… I never thought to myself; well, I did when I was a kid. Because they say, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ So I thought, I’m going to be married by age 20 and have, like, three kids. I thought when I was a kid I was going to be a vet.
