Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour has been the source of plenty of viral moments in recent weeks, with stage mishaps, secret songs and special guest appearances on TikTok, Twitter and beyond. Now, a wardrobe malfunction at the singer’s April 13 show in Tampa, Florida has caught the attention of Swifties online.
The hitmaker suffered an onstage performance of “Anti-Hero” at Raymond James Stadium when her bejeweled purple garter broke and began to fall. Swift then turned to her backing vocalists for help (ironically on the song “I’m Up in Crisis”), who proceeded to assist the Grammy-winner as she continued with live performances.
After successfully recovering the “Style” artist’s outfit, the supporting singer and Swift from the Eras Tour continued with the sold-out Tampa show — and fans were quick to applaud their professionalism. “@taylorwift13 was a full pro for having her gaiter screwed on during the tonight show,” wrote a Swiftie on Twitter,
“She’s a complete professional and those backup singers didn’t miss a note,” swept up on another tiktokWhereas A fan also commented: “Taylor Swift always knows how to handle any situation with grace and professionalism.”
This wasn’t the only mishap to happen during Swift’s April 13 show, which some Swifties jokingly dubbed “The Errors Tour.” During the concert’s fan-favorite stage dive segment – which sees Swift dive under the catwalk before coming back onto the main stage for the concert’s final act – things didn’t go to plan when the stage doors failed to open in time for her. Why did you go?
However, Swift overcame a technical snag and went into Midnight That part of his concert when the stage finally opened. The now-viral moment was quickly picked up by Swiftie Fandom, which called the “Lavender Haze” hitmaker a “total pro.”
