Holiday Fun Fridays are back this Easter and will continue after dark for a second time as part of the fabulous Woolwich Lates programme.
Come together for a free family day out at General Gordon Square in Woolwich on Friday 14 April. The program started at 10 am and the fun will continue till 8 pm.
Get caught up in the free arts, crafts and activities, support local market traders and don’t miss some exciting fire displays and African drumming workshops.
Cuisine from around the world will be offered from local food vendors, including stone baked pizza, gourmet burgers, Caribbean jerk chicken and West African cuisine.
Be sure to also check out the Beresford Square Market, which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. During Ramadan, market hours are extended for those who fast during the day.
Councilor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, said: “As a parent or carer, the school holidays can be challenging with added childcare costs and finding affordable ways to keep the kids entertained.
“If you are looking for free things to do, come along and join us for a free day of family fun in General Gordon Square on Friday 14 April, and visit games, African drumming, arts and crafts. Stop by for Woolwich Lattes in the evening, when a fire performer will light up the sky!
Councilor Maryam Lolavar, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Economy, Business and Skills, said: “Following the huge success of our first Woolwich Letts event, this is the second time we have teamed up with Holiday Fun Fridays.
“The Mayor of London has granted Woolwich Night Time Enterprise Zone status in response to our program for Woolwich Lets, which aims to promote Woolwich’s high streets with innovative events, public sector intervention and business support after 6pm Is.
